Before downloading and installing the ScadaGuard Dialer, please read  the following carefully.

  • Unless you are experienced with this product, we strongly recommend that you only run it in the sound card demo mode.  Convenient links for this purpose are provided during the installation.
  • SG Dialer fully supports Microsoft Windows 7, Vista and all Microsoft XP platforms, SP2 and above, as well as Server 2003.
  • For XP, most voice capable modems using Conexant chipsets (including Zoom and Multitech) or Smartlink chipsets (including Jaton and Best Data) are compatible.  This will be evidenced by a 'modem audio device' installed in the sound, video and game controllers section of your device manager.  For Vista, only modems with Lucent/Agere chipsets work at this time.
  • ScadaGuard will provide a modem as part of the purchase price, along with a money back guarantee that it will work with your system.  Howerver, due to the sometimes problematic nature of properly installing and configuring voice modems, we cannot provide pre-purchase support for any modem we did not supply.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Important***  Windows 7 & Vista require that the applications are run in Administrator mode to function properly.  This can be accomplished by right clicking the desktop shortcuts, selecting properties, then click the compatibility tab and select "Run this program as administrator".  In order to avoid the "unknown publisher" warning, you may set up a task in the task scheduler with the box "Run with the highest privileges" selected.  This will be outlined fully in a forthcoming app note.
